Merry & Bright Christmas Tour Comes to Huntington
For the last quarter of a century, Denver & the Mile High Orchestra has serenaded their way to become a true holiday tradition for the American family with their Merry and Bright Christmas tours. Now in their 25th year, the band has toured extensively nationwide bringing their energetic big band sound to an audience ranging from the age of 1, to 100! DMHO has released four Christmas albums that can be heard across various streaming platforms.
“We are thrilled to be able to get back on the road and share some of our favorite Christmas songs,” states founder and leader of the band, Denver Bierman. “This tour is always a highlight of the year for us and we are excited to be able to share the holidays with our friends and fans, old and new.”
DMHO has built a solid fan base, releasing 17 albums and touring extensively around the world. Known for their red-hot horn section and power-pop vocals, the band flawlessly combines these elements with their jazz and big band roots, creating a power-funk sound that defies genres. This unique sound even catapulted the band to the finale of the American Idol spin-off The Next Great American Band. Currently DMHO is completing their 18th album, “One Hope,” with a projected release by the end of 2024.
The Merry and Bright Christmas Tour will include classics like “Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” along with some lively, spirited songs like “Jingle Bells” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” that can’t help but put a smile on your face. What a fabulous way to celebrate this beautiful Christmas season!
DMHO will be in concert on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Zurcher Auditorium, Merillat Center for the Arts at Huntington University. The event is sponsored by City of Huntington, Huntington University and the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $15 each.
