This year the Huntington County Historical Society is celebrating its 100th year,
We are so lucky that Milo Feighter (Mayor of Huntington 1910-1914) acting President in 1926 talked on the preservation of relics in Huntington County.
Over the last 100 years the Historical Society has been the caretakers of the collections housed at the Huntington County History and Education Center (museum).
On Thursday September 17th, the Huntington County Historical Society will celebrate its 100th anniversary, with an open house beginning at 10:00am, and a program at 7:00pm.
With September 17th being Constitution Day, the program will be Peter Grady portraying U.S. Grant. This will be open to the public at no charge, and we will have light refreshments in the afternoon and continued during and after the program.
We will also have our 100 year commemorative coins available for purchase.
