Name: IAS Winter Eagle Watch Field Trip II
Date: January 21, 2023
Time: 2:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
Event Description:
Go on a search for the iconic Bald Eagle this winter!
Join Indiana Audubon for a special look at the winter spectacle of eagles along the upper Wabash River and reservoir floodplains. Wintering Bald Eagles have climbed considerably in this area over the last decade, and now this area of northern Indiana hosts as many eagles as many of the other known Indiana wintering sites. Some counts exceed 100 birds in a morning!

This special field trip will meet at Salamonie Reservoir on two dates, January 14th and 21st at 2:00 PM ET. Registered participants will meet at the Lost Bridge East SRA parking lot by the boat launch. From there we’ll caravan to a few areas to view both feeding and roosting eagles.
This IAS field trip is being led by IAS member April Raver. The trip begins at 2:00 PM Eastern time. Participants must pre-register, as trips fill up fast. The trip is free for IAS members and $10 for non-IAS members. Total time about 3 hours.

All participants must read and agree to the IAS Field Trip Release to participate in IAS led events and trips. We hope to see you there!
