The Financial Aid Counselor plays a key role in supporting the operations and compliance of the Financial Aid Office, ensuring the University’s adherence to federal and state financial aid programs. This position provides comprehensive guidance to students and families on financial aid policies and procedures, assisting them throughout the financial aid process. The Financial Aid Counselor is responsible for preparing federal and state aid reports, supporting the Director of Financial Aid with audits and compliance requirements, and working closely with the financial aid team and the Business Office to maintain the University’s compliance with all applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must demonstrate a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, a desire to serve others, and a commitment to being a faithful steward of university resources.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Strong critical thinking, process evaluation, and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail; trustworthy with handling confidential information.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial aid required.
- Proficient in general software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Windows environments, as well as Department of Education software solutions (COD, NSLDS, FAA Access, and EDExpress).
- Experience with Jenzabar’s CX ERP, Cognos, or other higher education ERPs and reporting solutions is recommended.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
